The "Real (Artificial) Intelligence" inside all of us

Image
Are we AI or Real? Experts say a person has 50,000 thoughts per day. That's an average of 2,100 thoughts per hour approximately. Out of these, for an average person, 80% are negative and 95% are repetitive according to data on the internet. Let's assume this is not true. You can always give yourself a measurement based on what you feel about yourself (funnily enough, maybe we'll give a negative one 80% of the time!). Also, it is said that only 5% of our actions and decisions are conscious and 95% are from the subconscious mind! First off, it is pretty obvious that there's a majority of negativity over positivity. Secondly, almost all of our thoughts are repetitive which means whatever you think, you're most likely to think the exact same thought again. Repetitive thoughts are the building blocks of your subconscious mind. It's just like practising a skill. You get better at what you do repetitively and we'll all agree upon this. Now let's connect...

Sometimes a step back is 10 steps forward...

Image
Hello readers! Hope you're all well. I had to take a break or take a step back, to be precise, before writing another post. I have been working on developing my skills in Analytics, my topic of interest, before getting into it. I feel it is really necessary to know what you're getting into, to know what you'll be doing for the rest of your life before choosing a career path. I have been doing an online course on Udemy related to Business Intelligence and Data Science in general. Pretty amazing course and loving every second of it. I thought it is a good idea to talk about something that came to my mind. The importance of stepping back before you move forward... Also, I could do with a small break from the course 😆 Suppose you have a well-paying job and you want to change your career path, or you have a degree of great value and looking for a job. More often than not, people see certain jobs as being below their worth. People feel their next big breakthrough is coming i...

What's the Value of Money?

Image
On the surface level, this question seems irrelevant. You might say it has the same value as the number mentioned on it. As simple as that. But thinking about it a little makes you really question the depth of this question itself. I'm not a financial expert or anything of that sort. But what intrigues me is the debate that is going on in perpetuity. Money or Happiness? Often times we come across people saying that following passions and doing what makes us happy is most important. We come across another fair share of advice that says such things are only good to read on books and feel good. And in reality, hunger eats away passions and dreams. Having a good perception of what we want in life solves the problem of what advice to choose. I'm just starting off and have zero experience in money matters. But the concept is what makes me want to write about it. How to choose what's best for us? What is the way to earn Money? What is the way to Happiness? Is there a way to h...

How to find your passion and do what you love

Image
Find your Passion... What is your passion? What do you love to do so much so that you forget everything else? Don't you have a passion? Don't you have anything in the world that you love to do? And what not? I'm sure we're bombarded with such questions all the time... Especially as teenagers and graduates. And we start questioning our existence. And feel like the lifeguard in an Olympic swimming competition... Hello readers! I've been thinking about this and thought of sharing my opinion about it. This topic is more relatable to almost every human there is. Which is why I thought it is absolutely essential to write about it. There are really big misconceptions about such topics. I'm sure even I am no exception to this. We all learn at every stage of life and understand better with each experience. But sharing our experiences and thoughts will definitely help catalyse the process. So I would love to get feedback and learn more. Read on to know more! What ...

How to learn better

Image
The only way to learn is to do... Hello reader! Recently I gave insights as to how one can get better after an adverse situation . If you haven't read that and want to know more, click the link! Let's get straight down to the topic because this post is all about doing! What makes practicality an important aspect of learning? Why is it always even more important than just learning something in theory? Let's find out. Acting upon something creates real-time problems. Not everything goes as planned when you actually act upon something. This, in turn, helps us find better solutions to the same problem. You are better equipped to handle real-life scenarios as a result of this! And each time you act upon your "something", you get better at doing it. Finally, the main intentions of all learnings in the world are to apply it to something in a way which helps us live better! So get down to actually implementing what you have learnt in theory. You might ha...

How to overcome adversities

Image
The importance of adversities Hello reader! :D The previous post was about how sports help shape our mindset  and improve our personality. If you haven't read that yet and are interested to know more, check the previous post. This post is all about how we face adversities ( I'm sure we all do! ) and how we can overcome it and actually better ourselves from it. YES! You actually can get better after an unfavourable situation in life. Let's dig deeper to think about it. We all have our own share of miseries. It feels like ours is the biggest of them all. This is mostly not true first of all. What I have come to realise is we ponder for the silliest of reasons and make excuses and not work to come out of it. Having said that, there are some situations where it is actually miserable and heartbreaking like the death of a loved one. If you know of someone who made it big even after this, I'm sure you have very little reason to make excuses. I personally feel we...

The Fundamentals that Schools don't teach us

Image
The most fundamental lessons are learnt outside the school. It's the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 final today. My team couldn't make it to the finals in spite of playing exceptional cricket throughout the league phase. I thought it's the best time to write something about it and how sports play a major role in shaping an individual. Having played professional sports myself, I thought it is a great idea to share my insights about sports and how it has shaped me as an individual. Education is a very important part of life. It is essential for an individual to learn skills. And that is what schools mostly provide utmost! Yes. That's what it actually is. A lot of lessons essential for LIFE are usually learnt in an open field, a swimming pool or even on a ping pong table like in my case ! :D Following are some reasons why I feel it is absolutely necessary for any child to pursue a sport! These are the most important things I learnt which can be applied to your ...
