How to find your passion and do what you love

Find your Passion...

What is your passion? What do you love to do so much so that you forget everything else? Don't you have a passion? Don't you have anything in the world that you love to do? And what not? I'm sure we're bombarded with such questions all the time... Especially as teenagers and graduates. And we start questioning our existence. And feel like the lifeguard in an Olympic swimming competition... Hello readers! I've been thinking about this and thought of sharing my opinion about it. This topic is more relatable to almost every human there is. Which is why I thought it is absolutely essential to write about it. There are really big misconceptions about such topics. I'm sure even I am no exception to this. We all learn at every stage of life and understand better with each experience. But sharing our experiences and thoughts will definitely help catalyse the process. So I would love to get feedback and learn more. Read on to know more!

What we are taught and made to feel in the process...

You should have a passion in life. You should do that "one thing" exceptionally well... Better than most others, to be precise. You should have a passion or like something that helps you have a stable financial status. You are supposed to figure it all out at a very young age and go after it for the rest of your life! Phew! It was hard enough for me to choose a major in my academics. And you want me to figure it all out? Right away? For the rest of my life? I feel it's a little too much to ask for. This makes one feel like a dunce. This makes people take hasty decisions to find out later that they don't like what they're doing. We're all so rushed by social media and society in general that if someone says "Hey! Machine Learning/being a YouTuber has scope/is fancy and cool" it makes us jump around like a 6-year-old kid with the thought of having all the toys and games in the world! All of these make us feel like a dunce or feel heights of ecstasy! Just calm down. Both feelings are wrong. Talking about feelings, passion is very closely related to feelings. And feelings change each day. So do passions, in a vague manner, that is. So how do you control the extreme ends of your feeling spectrum and balance them to focus on figuring out what you actually like?

What we need to focus on and execute in reality...

Having said that it is okay to take time to figure things out, it is also equally important to actually figure something out even if it's a little late. You don't want to stay in the same dull/ecstatic feeling(temporarily and always changing), do you? So what is it that we can do to actually "figure things out"? Stay with me here... These are some of the things I feel are both practical and fulfilling. Hard to find that balance isn't it? 😉
  • Just Do It - I know I have used this phrase a lot of times previously but I strongly believe in it. Don't think about what the world might say about you (my most favourite hobby, by the way... Haha). Instead, use that time you ponder to actually taste enough things. Try everything. As much as you can. Explore! Forget about the trends. Forget about people's opinions. Just ask yourself if you're liking what you're doing irrespective of the scope or trend of the work!
  • Time as a parameter - One best way to find out what you love is to see if it makes you lose track of time. If it does, believe me, it can be your potential passion!
  • Financial return - The most important factor (in perspective of the world at least) is how much you can actually earn out of your passion. This might be a problem in the beginning. But trust me, if you are the best at your craft no matter what you do, people will pay you to get it done!
  • Natural talent - We are born with certain skills. To be more precise these skills are mostly our EQ and personality. Find them if you don't know them yet. Some are skilled in Math while some are skilled in Arts! Find your natural talent and align them with your work.
All said and done, in the end, we need to feel fulfilled and also not seem like a failure to the world. Sometimes it feels like this is not possible. It may seem like you can follow passions and go broke. Or get that boring job and make a living. It is about finding the balance. It is possible. Just hang in there and stay calm all the time. Balance emotions and never go to the extreme ends of your feelings. And I mean this! Never feel too happy as well (I'm sure everyone feels dull. No need to mention that! But ironically, I have😆) Really! I believe that. In the end, Do what you -- LOVE -- what you DO!

Would love to know your opinion. Leave a comment! Stay tuned for more... Good day fellow readers!😇
