How to overcome adversities

The importance of adversities

Hello reader! :D The previous post was about how sports help shape our mindset and improve our personality. If you haven't read that yet and are interested to know more, check the previous post.

This post is all about how we face adversities ( I'm sure we all do! ) and how we can overcome it and actually better ourselves from it. YES! You actually can get better after an unfavourable situation in life. Let's dig deeper to think about it.

We all have our own share of miseries. It feels like ours is the biggest of them all. This is mostly not true first of all. What I have come to realise is we ponder for the silliest of reasons and make excuses and not work to come out of it. Having said that, there are some situations where it is actually miserable and heartbreaking like the death of a loved one. If you know of someone who made it big even after this, I'm sure you have very little reason to make excuses. I personally feel we should never make excuses and set an example for others even if we cannot find a similar example.

There is a phase when we are low as hell and have no choice but to suffer. Okay, DONE! The very next step is also the most important step. It is asking questions... To yourself! I'm sure this is mostly the next phase for all of us. I'm not talking about the "why me?" kind of questions. We often ask ourselves such wrong questions and dwell even more. Let's get straight down to the solution. I understand this is not easy. But the perspective matters a lot here. The exact same things done with a positive mindset are far easier than when they are forced. This is pretty obvious to us by now. So being optimistic is the only way out of this!

If you tell me you are having a "miserable life" I would be happy for you. Yes, you read that right! I personally feel the word LIFE in itself has so much positivity in it that it cancels out any negative adjective you join it with. This is the ultimate truth! If you still have a life after all that you have been through, you're still the luckiest person. This is because you still can do anything you actually want to and get wherever you want to. EVEN AFTER EVERYTHING! And that's what makes it wonderful. Most people with huge success as perceived by the people have had a bad or even traumatic experience just before. So consider yourself lucky it happened to you! Yes, now you have the right perspective. And the same experience isn't bad after all! Because it will lead to better things.

One of my favourite human beings, GaryVee always says that he's happy to fail. He isn't wrong! Mark Manson, the author of "The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F***" says that undesirable situations are not wanted but are needed for growth! He's right! The short term pain turns into long term power. Embrace the adversities. Smile through it. Shake it off! You are better than you ever were after that experience of yours. You just need to realise it! I don't know how many of you know about DragonBall-Z, the anime. But Goku (the most positive being) turns into a Super Saiyan (the most powerful being of his kind) only after he experiences the misery of losing a dear friend! I hope your perspective has changed already! What do you think? Leave a comment... Share with someone who needs to read this! Stay tuned... :D
