How to learn better

The only way to learn is to do...

Hello reader! Recently I gave insights as to how one can get better after an adverse situation. If you haven't read that and want to know more, click the link!

Let's get straight down to the topic because this post is all about doing! What makes practicality an important aspect of learning? Why is it always even more important than just learning something in theory? Let's find out.

  • Acting upon something creates real-time problems. Not everything goes as planned when you actually act upon something. This, in turn, helps us find better solutions to the same problem.
  • You are better equipped to handle real-life scenarios as a result of this! And each time you act upon your "something", you get better at doing it.
  • Finally, the main intentions of all learnings in the world are to apply it to something in a way which helps us live better!
So get down to actually implementing what you have learnt in theory. You might have read a wonderful book. If you don't act on its principles and actually apply it in real life, you're as good as never having read that book! You might have learnt all about a sport from hours of watching it and reading the rule books thoroughly. You're still way behind someone who practised it just for a day! ACT! It matters more than anything.

Sometimes we feel lazy to actually do something and feel it's enough to have learnt it. So that we can apply it when necessary. We've never been more wrong! You can learn along when you do, but you won't do when you just learn! That's enough said. So get down, dig deep, explore, and actually do whatever you want to develop as a skill.

"Thoughts become things..." is a pretty popular quote. But the gap between them is bridged by the actual work! They don't mention this. So don't sit around thinking everything will just fall into place. The thoughts and optimism are of course very important. But it is useless without the next step of actually doing it. Thoughts ..... > Work hard, fail, learn, and grow! > ....become things. Never forget the bridge. JUST DO IT! There are very few people who DO! And that's the reason fewer people actually make an impact on the world. You're as good as not thinking if you don't apply even if you have the best ideas and thoughts in the world.
